NorseFire Teaser Excerpt: Meeting Eurynomos

Eurynomos leaned back in his chair, watching the NorseFire study him.
"I don't bite too much if you're living."  He smirked.
"How do you do it? The acting; I mean." Jes inquired.
"Simple. I only play things with dark eyes, like monsters and demons."
Lars glared at him, unimpressed. "And you conveniently don't remove your contacts."
"A good actor shows up to his fans in character." Eurynomos pushed himself upright. "But sometimes I put up an illusion."
"Your accent is prominent." Dru noted, probably more out of interest than for the mission.
"I've spent centuries in Greece; It's my home. I've only come here recently. Decade or so ago." The demon answered calmly.
"You're kinda cute blondie." He added.
Lars looked offended. "I'm not gay."
"Fair enough." He responded calmly, though Jes noted his eyebrows furrowed in a hurt fashion. This demon was more emotionally controlled than the others, a lot like Belphegor.
"Are you a void demon by any chance?" Jes asked on thought.
Lars gave him a look of confusion and Eurynomos' eyes narrowed.
"Where'd you get that sort of term, NorseFire?"
"I uh... We kind of have a demon helping us." Jes answered nervously.
"Which one?"
Jes looked to Lars and Dru for guidance, and Lars nodded.
"Belphegor."
Eurynomos didn't speak right away. His manager gave him a single, and he nodded.
"I'll have to talk to you after the signing. My advice is to wait off to the side and I'll inform my agent that you're personal business."
